We are taking a break! Hoping you have a safe and peaceful Holiday Season. Classes will resume in the winter of 2022.
If you would like to see one of my past classes repeated please write to Tammythefoodscientist@gmail.com and let me know.
The goal of this class is to help you to improve understanding of your detoxification pathways. The first class will cover the digestive system, including the liver, and the urinary system.
In the second class we will continue exploring your detoxification pathways with a focus on the respiratory and lymphatic systems as well as the roll your skin plays in the excretory system.
In each of these classes you'll learn how these systems function and what you can do to support them. You will receive information packets with each class and easy recipes to promote detoxification.
The goal of this class is to help you identify the strengths and weaknesses in your overall lifestyle. Modern life is stressful! Unfortunately, many of the ways we try to destress can do more harm than good. Tuning out in front of the TV, drinking too much alcohol, and not getting enough sleep all play a role in diminishing our ability to fight illness. Add to this our diets, which are often devoid of the nutrients we need to thrive, and we can find ourselves struggling to stay well.
In addition to improved lifestyle strategies, we’ll also cover super foods. These are functional foods which act to enhance our immune systems, and fight against bacteria and viruses.
What Went Wrong: Exploring the ways we get derailed on our journey to good health. We’ll also do a deep dive into Food Cravings and the real physiological reasons why we have cravings and look at what you can do about them.
Habits, the Good, the Bad and the Neutral: The focus this week is cognitive. Why do we rationalize bad habits, how do we strengthen good habits, and can we improve upon things we do that are just neutral?
Empowering Ourselves, Learning to Honor Our Needs in the Face of Pressure: This week we’ll explore social situations, we’ll learn to identify challenging times, and develop strategies for handling them.
Emotional Eating: In our final week we will look at the ways our feelings affect our eating patterns. We’ll uncover hidden triggers and learn how developing a mindfulness practice can help you overcome these obstacles.
The cost is just $10 for each week, or you can enroll in the full four weeks for $35. Write to me directly at Tammythefoodscientist@gmail.com to register.
